Learn More About Union City!

2009 will offer many opportunities for residents, students, and history buffs to find out about the significant events in our past made Union City the vibrant, colorful city that it is today.

Here are some of the activities we are working on:

    • School programs for the children of Union City.
    • Alameda County Library in Union City -- exhibits, reading material, and more.
    • Walking tours of the historic buildings located in Old Alvarado.
    • Bus tours of the east side of town, including the Decoto district and the Masonic Home.

Volunteer!

One of the best ways to learn is to teach. We're looking for people to get involved with our activities. Do you like to teach or give presentations? Are you good at coordinating programs? Ever thought about becoming a tour guide? Are you creative, or have PowerPoint or multimedia skills?

Then the Union City 50th Anniversary Historical Committee needs your help! Get involved!
